THIRD INTERNATIONAL "PEACE FORUM" — 2016

In September 2016, the Republic of Crimea will host the Third Annual International “Peace Forum,” dedicated to the Year of Russian Cinema. The Forum is held within the long-term programme “Promotion of the Ideas of Peace and Peace Initiatives,” implemented by the Peacemaker Foundation with the assistance of the Government of the Russian Federation.

In Yalta — the most beautiful and happiest city in the world, on the shore of the Black Sea at the very beginning of summer, when tourists from all over the world come to open the resort season, to rejoice in the warm sea water and the southern sun, when film producers and television companies begin shooting films using the unique nature of Crimea, in the days when the Cannes Film Festival has already ended and only a few days remain until the opening of the Kinotavr film festival in the city of Sochi, the World Charitable Alliance Peacemaker established the holding of the Third International “Peace Forum” in the city of Yalta and dedicated it to the Year of Russian Cinema.

The purpose of the Forum is to bring together public figures, politicians, distinguished actors of theatre and cinema, renowned musicians, businesspeople, athletes and scholars in the name of jointly addressing questions of improving life on Earth.

According to the decree of the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, the year 2016 has been declared the Year of Russian Cinema.

In this connection, the principal task of the Forum is to create conditions and motivations for the production of film works capable of conveying to humanity the fundamental peacemaking values.

Representatives of international film festivals, film producers and production centres will take part in the work of the Forum. The Forum will be attended by people of world renown who have attained the heights of their professional and public activity.

One thing unites them all — the striving to make the world happy and safe.

During the days of the Forum, in the very heart of Crimea — the Livadia Palace — a solemn ceremony will be held to present the International “Peacemaker” Prize to outstanding personalities of our era.

Within the framework of the Forum, the International Film Festival “Crimea — Territory of Peace” will take place. The screening of unique Russian and foreign short films will attract an additional target audience, uniting legendary people of the world and stars of cinema

The business content of the programme will be the investment tour “Business Crimea,” where Forum participants will be given the opportunity to study exclusive investment sites of the peninsula.

The solemn closing of the Forum will take place in the Yubileiny Concert Hall, during which actors, directors and screenwriters of the best social films will be presented with the international prize “Talent and Calling.”

A bright finale will be the gala concert “Musicians of the World for Peace,” in which stars of the Russian and international stage will take part.
