SECOND ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL "PEACE FORUM" — 2015
5 October 2015. Crimea, Yalta, Livadia Palace
At the turn of the millennium, it becomes entirely clear that only by the joint efforts of people from different countries can a new system of relations in the world community be created, leading humanity toward creation and progress.
Contemporary history must be filled not by crushing wars, but by achievements in the field of peacemaking.
Peace can be defended not only with weapons in hand. Every person is capable of achieving personal and professional successes, and also of creating, of contributing to the formation of public consciousness on the basis of eternal human values — humanism, tolerance and mercy.
Such people are true peacemakers, worthy of international recognition and awards. Their noble activity and high level of spiritual development must serve as a moral example for representatives of all nationalities, all continents, all age and social groups, of various faiths and religious confessions, in the attainment of the most important goal — the establishment of peace and security on Earth.
Today Crimea and its inhabitants need, as never before, public support and recognition of their choice and right to self-determination.
In the course of the Second Annual International “Peace Forum” we shall discuss questions of peaceful cooperation and fruitful cultural exchange.
The Forum will bring together representatives of Russian and Crimean authorities, representatives of international public organisations, figures of culture, and representatives of the business community. The Forum will also be attended by some of the most authoritative representatives of culture and art of world renown, who support the population of Crimea in its choice and right to self-determination.
